• 🎭 Appointed Director of Opera at Georgia Southern University, Megan Barrera brings her passion for innovative storytelling and artist development to a new chapter in opera education.

• 💃🏽 Appointed Vice President of the Ibero-American NATS Chapter, Megan looks forward to building community, inspiring collaboration, and amplifying the voices of artists who share a connection to the Ibero-American world.

• 🤖 Megan will present her proposal "Augmented Imagination: Embracing AI as a Creative Tool in Opera" at the National Opera Association Conference in Boston, January 2026.

• 🎶 In February 2026, Megan returns to the stage as Juliette in Roméo et Juliette with Winter Opera St. Louis.
